How Pensacola Spray Foam Insulation Works

Pensacola Spray Foam Insulation insulates and air seals homes, beach houses, garages and metal buildings across Pensacola and the towns around the bay. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, blow in cellulose and fiberglass, encapsulate crawl spaces, and remove insulation that has been soaked, crushed or fouled by pests.

In a hot, wet place like Pensacola, insulation work is as much about humidity as it is about heat. Air that leaks into a house in August carries water with it, and that water ends up on cold ductwork, under floors and in the attic. So a visit from us is never just a tape measure in the attic. We look at the attic, the ductwork and air handler if they live up there, the crawl space or slab edge, and any rooms that run hot or feel sticky. We note what insulation is in place, how deep it is and what shape it is in, and we look for the problems that new insulation would hide: roof leaks, wet wood, termite mud tubes, rodent trails and wiring that should be checked first.

Then we tell you what we would do and why. Foam is not always the answer. A wide-open attic over a sealed ceiling can often be handled with blown-in insulation for less money. A roofline with ducts and an air handler in the attic, an older raised floor or a steel building are where foam usually earns its cost. If more than one approach would work, the quote shows both.

How we work

  • See it first. No price goes on paper until we have looked at the spaces.
  • Write it down. Every area on the quote lists material, thickness or depth, target R-value and price.
  • Moisture before insulation. Leaks and damp framing get pointed out and fixed before anything is covered.
  • Respect termite clearances. Foam stays where inspectors and pest control companies can still see what they need to see.
  • Protect the house. Floors and belongings are covered, the work area is closed off and ventilated, and we clean up when we finish.
  • No surprises. Work starts after you approve the quote, and any change is agreed in writing first.
